Eavesdropping with Video Surveillance in a Client’s Office

Found by IAC experts

Our latest discovery is a classic example of a “mixed-build” device for covert video surveillance and acoustic monitoring.

The device included:
– a DVR board with a camera and microphone;
– a GSM relay for remote activation;
– a power adapter;
– a 4G modem.

The devices shown in the photos were installed in two different rooms of the office.

An interesting detail: the company was renting premises in a residential building. The landlord had his own keys to the office and knew the alarm code.
There were occasions when he entered the premises even in the absence of company staff.

Conclusion:
If you rent an office or any business premises:
– install your own security system and video surveillance;
– never leave keys with third parties;
– allow visitors to enter only in the presence of your company’s representatives.
