Is PhoneGuard an antivirus?

No. PhoneGuard is not a traditional antivirus app. It analyzes app permissions, system access, and device settings to identify potential privacy risks, spyware-related behavior, or unsafe configurations

Does the app read my messages, photos, or contacts?

No. The scan focuses on permissions, system access, and device settings only. The app works locally on your device.

Which smartphones are supported?

PhoneGuard works on smartphones running Android. For best performance, the device should use a standard Android system without critical restrictions on access to system settings.

How many times can I scan my phone?

You can run scans an unlimited number of times. Regular checks are recommended, especially after installing new apps or changing system settings.

What PhoneGuard does not detect (These factors are outside the app’s control)

Hardware bugs or carrier-level interception (parallel interception of communication data by third parties)
IMSI catchers or fake base stations (third-party interception technologies that do not require direct access to your device)
Compromise through hacked cloud accounts (for example, weak personal security practices)
Highly targeted spyware deeply disguised as system services (which may be installed after loss of physical control of the device)
