MESA is a portable spectrum analyzer manufactured by Research Electronics International (REI) that combines the capabilities of a classic spectrum analyzer with the functions of the ANDRE broadband detector.
The device covers a frequency range of 10 kHz to 6 GHz (up to 12–18 GHz using downconverter antennas) and has a sweep speed of over 200 GHz/s, providing a near-instantaneous view of the RF environment.
MESA is used for the comprehensive inspection of the radio-frequency environment in premises, vehicles, and open areas, and for comparing sweep results between different locations.
Detects:
✔ GSM bugs, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth devices, mobile phones.
✔ Radio transmitters operating in hidden or burst (periodic) modes.
✔ Low-power spy devices operating on digital networks.
✔ Leak sources via the power line, and optical and acoustic channels.
