The other day, a client came to us to have his car inspected. He had noticed that the car battery was draining unusually fast, which raised his suspicions.

During the inspection, our specialist found a listening device hidden behind the multimedia unit in the center of the dashboard.

The device included:
– – An external microphone to record all conversations inside the cabin;
– – A circuit board with an SD card — recordings were stored on a memory card from a dashcam;
– – A 4G modem transmitting data to a remote server in real time;
– – A power adapter converting the car’s 12V battery output to the required operating voltage of the device;
– A TKStar GPS tracker with a separate SIM card — used to monitor routes and parking locations.

The device was connected to the vehicle’s standard wiring, meaning it could operate almost without any time limitations.
